THE ROLE
Reporting to the COO, the Director of Couple Services’ fundamental responsibility is to build a thriving, connected, well-functioning team and programs as part of the larger organizational practice. The Director of Couple Services provides leadership with respect to talent recruitment and management, organizational and financial planning, clinical effectiveness, and external relations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIESTalent Recruitment and Management, including but not limited to:
Identify staffing needs, develop and implement staff recruiting plan
Support and mentor early career clinicians and develop career pathing for all team members
Actively engage clinicians in the organization
Identify and facilitate professional development and training opportunities
Create a strong team dynamic amongst the clinicians within the Couples Service Line
Provide ongoing and regular performance feedback to team members
Organizational and Financial Planning, including but not limited to:
Works with the COO of Clinical Services to establish and maintain an annual financial plan
Develops and manages individual team members' annual plans and raises
Tracks and supports team to meet or exceed annual revenue targets
Lead priority projects to advance the strategic plan for the organization
Clinical effectiveness, including but not limited to:
Support Coordinators & Program Directors to develop and improve clinical programs
Work with the Director of Marketing to evaluate & implement strategies to drive referrals
Utilize data to enable client access, high-quality care, and continuous improvement at the individual clinician and team level
Maintains thriving personal clinical practice
External Relations, including but not limited to:
Act as TFI Ambassadors to advance the mission, vision, and current initiatives
Represent TFI to outside stakeholders, referral sources, clinical partners, Board members, etc.
Support fundraising opportunities and/or external-facing PR and brand advancement in partnership with the External Relations team
As business needs arise, other duties as assigned.
Doctoral or Master’s degree in a license-eligible discipline, with a valid professional license
Minimum 8 years post-graduate experience (internship & post-doc fellowship applies) or comparable experience in a relevant discipline
Experience as a couples therapist with an established referral base, as well as experience mentoring and supervising clinical staff
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Possess a training background and clinical experience that is empirically informed, theoretically grounded, and systemically oriented
Understanding of personal and professional boundaries

Time and stress management skills
Communication skills to include interpersonal, teamwork, and collaboration skills
