Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full time Crisis Clinician for the Behavioral Health -Ed Services at Newton Medical Center to work the overnight shift.
Responsibilities
Essential Function/Responsibilities:
Perform crisis assessments and interventions within hospital and mobile outreach to community
Conduct assessments for risk to self, others, and property due to a mental health condition
Determine appropriate interventions and referrals
Discharge planning up to and including involuntary hospitalization
Other tasks include: Case management-insurance preauthorization- answer hotline calls-respond to team interventions with agitated persons-critical incident management, mobile outreach.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Masters degree in social work, psychology, or related field.
Minimum Experience:
at least 1 yr in mental health/substance use field
Licenses/Certification:
Current screening certification preferred
If applicant does not possess certification, then they must be able to attend an 8-week training provided by state within first year of hiring
Must have a valid Driver's License
A candidate must have excellent documentation skills and basic computer knowledge
A candidate must be able to work in a high acuity setting and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
A candidate possesses the ability to assist in physical interventions with consumers
