Peer Specialist
The New Mexico VA Health Care System is recruiting for a Peer Specialist assigned to Social Work services Health Care for Homeless Veterans, HUD/VASH Team. The Specialist functions as an interdisciplinary team member, assisting Social Workers, Nurses and other professional/non-professional personnel in a rehabilitation treatment program. The Peer Specialist functions as a role model, exhibiting competency in personal recovery and use of coping skills and serving as a consumer to veterans. To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 06/23/2023. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing
