The social worker provides outreach, assessments, referrals and case management services to homeless veterans identified for possible participation and who are accepted to the HUD/VASH Program. The incumbent is assigned to the Omaha or Lincoln site of the VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Medical Center. The social worker will be assigned to the Mental Health and Behavior Science Service Line and will be supervised by the HUD/VASH Program Coordinator. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
