Schedule: 7am-5pm / (4)10hour shifts - days vary - 8-12 Call days per month (including weekends)

The role you’ll contribute:
A Registered Nurse who is responsible for appropriate and safe care of patients in the Cath Lab, IR Lab, Cath/IR Recovery and Non-Invasive areas. Must work independently as well as within the team.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Is responsible for a holistic, individualized assessment of each patient in relationship to age, physiological, and psychological status.
- Will identify and communicate any change in the patient's status.
- Interprets, evaluates and implements physician orders in a timely manner.
- Is able to establish priorities and plans appropriate/responsible actions accordingly.
- Addresses educational needs of patients and their families.
- Administration knowledge of commonly used drugs/solutions used in the Cardiology and IR procedures.
- Participates in the transfer of patient information to provide for continued quality care.
- Documents all phases of patient status while responsible for their care.
- Is able to assist with Cath Lab, IR, and Non-Invasive procedures as needed.
- Uses stock judiciously and in a cost-effective manner.
- Able to provide post procedure hemostasis and correctly apply post procedure dressing.
- Participates in equipment quality controls and quality improvement efforts.
- Rotates weekends and nights for call per department needs.
- Responsible for daily crash cart checks.
- Responsible for transporting patients to and from the department.
Qualifications - External
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- ASN/BSN required
- Requires a minimum of 1-year experience as an RN
- Must have a current GA RN license
- Must have current BLS and ACLS
