The Social Worker (In-Patient Psychiatry) is responsible for the management, coordination and provision of social work services to veterans and their families on the Inpatient Psychiatry Unit of the NMVAHCS, as well as up to a .5FTE on the Geriatric inpatient psychiatric unit. This is one of two social workers assigned to provide discharge planning to both inpatient psychiatry units. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met. Basic Requirements Citizenship. Citizen of the United States. Licensure. Full, unrestricted license or certification by a state to independently practice social work at the advanced practice level. Education. Master's degree in so
