The outpatient SUD social worker will serve as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and provide direct care and treatment to Veterans. The social worker will use a wide range of treatment modalities and evidence based therapies, including individual, family, and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, case management, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, supportive therapy, discharge planning, and knowledge of aftercare treatment resources. Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
