Job Summary
Serves as primary administrator for the ambulatory surgery centers. Responsible for operations including coordination of nursing, support staff, supply chain, information systems, quality management, risk management, and safety for the site. Responsible for the accreditation, regulatory, and overall operational and financial performance of the facilities. Responsible for continuous monitoring, assessment, and improvement of healthcare practices with a focus on adhering to regulatory standards, patient safety protocols, and industry best practices.
Job Duties
Establishesandattainsperformancemeasuresincludingpatient satisfaction,employeesatisfaction,physiciansatisfaction, volume targets, access to services, clinical quality, supply chain management, financial performance, efficiency, and service excellence.
Identifies and oversees the development of business plans (i.e. budgets, facilities and capital analysis, market analyses, growth plans, operational contingency plans, and information systems).
Develop operating and capital budgets, monitor the facility's financial and operations results on an ongoing basis.
Recommend changes to operations and marketing activity needs to meet financial goals and objectives.
Oversee the financial performance of all ambulatory surgery centers.
Works with Medical Director(s) to develop, revise, and audit all department policies and operational procedures.
Partners with quality and PI coordinators to oversee risk management activities, event reporting, and risk mitigation strategies.
Develops and maintains effective liaison with management, physicians, patients, and employees.
Oversee the development and implementation of all strategic and tactical operational plans.
Co-facilitates with Medical Director(s) monthly and quarterly operational meetings.
Directs and monitors ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements in collaboration with performance improvement staff.
Fosters teamwork and cooperation among team members.
Defines patient and guest-focused performance parameters with emphasis on service, quality, and cost.
Sets appropriate benchmarks and establishes accountability.
Directs maintenance of all patient assessment and procedure areas to ensure cleanliness, sterility, and adequate operation of all equipment.
Oversee the care and maintenance of physical facility.
Oversees inventory control and equipment management.
In conjunction with the Supply Chain Services, negotiates with supply and equipment vendors to ensure unit costs remain within budgetary constraints.
Evaluates the need for new and different equipment and supplies.
