The Department of Veterans Affairs Houston Healthcare System is seeking a full-time Staff Psychologist position for the Alexandria VA Health Care System. The Staff Psychologist Provides a full range of therapeutic interventions including: individual, group and family psychotherapy, caregiver stress support, cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal and other forms of evidence based psychotherapy. Ability to diagnose mental disorders and provides a full range of psycho-diagnostic services, conduct psychological assessments for clinical or administrative purposes

Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (*will consider non- citizen candidates*)
• Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
• Doctoral degree in psychology from a graduate program in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System (PCSAS), or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA)
• Completed a professional psychology internship training program that was accredited by APA or CPA
• Knowledge of, and ability to apply, professional psychological treatments to the full range of patient populations.
• Ability to provide professional advice and consultation in areas related to professional psychology and behavioral health.
• Active Board Certification (or considered Board Certification eligible) in clinical neuropsychology thru the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP/ABCN) or American Board of Neuropsychology (ABN).(Preferred)
• Must be highly motivated, team-oriented, and committed to the care and good health of our Veterans.
